David

HOH: 0

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 1

Survived Eviction: 0

David was custom made to be the first to go, saying he was there for a Showmance not to play the game. I didn't see any particular strategy out of him, though in the brief time he was there he did provide some comic relief. As it turns out we could have used a lot more comedy this season. Who knows what would have happened if he'd stuck a few more weeks. The Aaryn/David showmance/comedy show could have ended up saving Aaryn from the disastrous image she ended up with, and left her with....a different disastrous image. As far as David goes, I think his value to us was used up in his brief stay.

Nick

HOH: 0

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 1

Survived Eviction: 0

Nick came into the game with more plans that just about all the rest of them combined. In any other season, his 5-guy, divide-and-conquer plan might have worked tremendously well. By joining together a group with all different types of strengths and then sending them out to infiltrate all the various groups that formed in the house with the later plan to shank their "side alliances" they could have been prepared for any power shift in the house. The problem was, of course, they weren't prepared for the MVP. A power that was coming from outside the house couldn't be accounted for, and Nick ended up being MVP-twisted out of the game. In another interesting twist, Nick would have been long forgotten if it weren't for GinaMarie bringing his name up every 15 seconds for the entire rest of the season. Though I do legitimately worry for Nick's safety when GM gets out and comes for him, he also owes her a tremendous amount in the name recognition department. Then there's the humorous twist to the whole thing that he was only cozying up to her to have an in with the "blondentourage."

Jeremy

HOH: 0

POV:1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 2

Survived Eviction: 0

At the end of the day, Jeremy strikes me as someone who was actually much better suited to play Survivor than BB. He seemed to think that as a big, strong guy, people should want to keep him around and that he could go around causing chaos and not face the consequences. But in the world of BB that gets one shown the door. Jeremy also put too much stake in his alliance, thinking that he could appear to fully throw in with the side-alliance and the Moving Company would still keep him safe. Or maybe after seeing Nick go, he realized the MC was dead and he really did fully throw in the the Blondentourage. He calmed down at the end, showing he was capable of not being an exploding douche-bag, but it was too late. If he'd played the gentle giant all along he might have lasted a lot longer.

Kaitlin

HOH: 0

POV: 1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 2

Survived Eviction: 0

In many ways Kaitlin just had the misfortune of getting drawn into a showmance with the wrong person. If Jeremy hadn't been bounced the week before, Kaitlin might well have had staying power over Aaryn. But then again, who knows? At the end of the day, Kaitlin was sent out because she was seen as a bigger threat. Which turned out to be a huge irony in that Aaryn went on to win a whole lot of comps. On the other hand, if Kaitlin had stayed she might have turned out to be an equal comp threat. The big question there is would she have been less of a puppet.

Howard

HOH: 0

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 1

Survived Eviction: 0

I was never quite able to figure out why Howard was cast. Sure he looked like a comp monster, but we never saw anything to back it up. Perhaps he was playing the role I suggested for Jeremy, just sitting back and trying not to look like a threat. But that strategy didn't work out for him in the least. His quiet style just made everyone wonder what he was up to, and his connection with the MC did him in. He was probably the most decent, likable HG of the season, but that never gets anyone very far. We will probably always have to wonder what he whispered in Amanda's ear, but aside from that he never said anything to offend.

Candice

HOH: 0

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 2

Survived Eviction: 0

Candice was an interesting HG from the beginning. She was a last minute recruit, brought in for her looks and her backstory, not some deep abiding love of BB. She turned out to be a catalyst for the unwanted theme of the season. She basically had no gameplay, but she brought the drama and entertainment. She Kept it Real with Candi, and gave us some of the best fights of the season, perhaps among the best ever. Her eviction definitely goes in the top 10 ever.

Jessie

HOH: 0

POV: 1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 3

Survived Eviction: 1

All season Jessie made me feel like I was watch Big Brother - Junior High School Edition. It seemed she had a crush on just about every guy in the house at one time or another. If anyone paid even a little attention to her, it was either love, or they were stalking her. She was convinced she was the prettiest girl in the house, if not the world, and didn't hesitate to tell everyone how she felt. She reminded me of someone who had just had a peptalk from the school counselor. Or her mom. She didn't seem to have a particular strategy, though she did flip over to the "right" side to make the critical vote for Nick to go and ensure the demise of the Moving Company. She inspired really disturbing sexual comments from Spencer, and was part of the bizarre Jessie-Judd-Aaryn showmance-triangle. And she gave us Hurricane Jessie, which promised drama, but ultimately fizzled into nothingness.

Helen

HOH: 1

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 2

Survived Eviction: 1

Helen is one of those people who probably just thinks too much about the game. She's a strategic person in real life, a student of the game, and was convinced she knew how to run the board. In another season it might have worked for her, but this one, not so much. She needed a teammate, and sort of chose Elissa, but didn't really treat her as an equal. She was playing a similar game to Amanda, and the fact is the house just wasn't big enough for the both of them. Her comp play wasn't terrible, but really she was counting more on strategic play. She tried to control votes, but rather than doing it through subtle manipulation, she resorted to threats, and in the end, that was a big part of why her once-allies turned on her. She cried a lot, some was probably real, but much was staged. She played the mom card when it suited her, and pressed the "it's just a game point" when it didn't. She entertained in an odd way; Twitter got a heck of a lot of mileage out of the #STFUHelen, and BB joined in by giving her a curfew. It was fun while it lasted, but most were actually glad to see her go.

Aaryn

HOH: 4

POV: 1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 3

Survived Eviction: 2

Unfortunately for Aaryn, she will always be remembered as "that racist girl" from BB15. Sure, she said what she said, and it's fair that she was held accountable. But she wasn't the only one, or even the worst, and the rest didn't get as much flack as she did (at least not from the CBS edit). But even if it weren't for all that, we'd still have a lot of controversy to talk about with Aaryn. She won more comps than just about anyone, was in several key alliances, and survived eviction a couple of times despite being a threat. But at the same time, she let herself be manipulated by others, taking actions that didn't benefit her at all. It wasn't just a matter of being part of a team, she really was a puppet. She sure brought the drama, being a huge player in fights and game moves alike.

Amanda

HOH: 0

POV: 1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 3

Survived Eviction: 2

Like Helen, Amanda actually had a pretty good strategy that in any other season might have taken her all the way to the end. She was in control for much of the game, and even had a grip on the MVP as long as it was inside the house. But once America got a vote and started tossing her up on the block she was at a loss. Amanda had one thing Helen didn't have, a completely loyal teammate who could win comps for her, but being a showmance as well as a team just made them too big a threat. A pair is a strong thing in BB, but it has to be at least a somewhat secret pair or it will be split up. Amanda tried hard to entertain, and her attempts tended to fall flat. But when she wasn't trying it worked a bit better. She managed to be in the center of many of the fights and gave us good drama.

Elissa

HOH: 1

POV: 2

MVP: 3

Nominated: 5

Survived Eviction: 2

Like Aaryn, Elissa will always be remembered as a huge part of BB15, though not because she played a great, or even a good, game. She came in with a fanbase and a huge target because of it. The MVP twist was basically there to keep her from going out first, and that worked out. It then humorously backlashed on her when America became MVP. She won comps when she really needed to for a while, though she didn't quite live up to her sister's legacy. She also threatened to quit, threw out plenty of personal jabs while complaining that personal attacks were so unfair, and was completely inflexible once she'd decided she was against someone. She entertained us with Elissercise, and with her general quirkiness. She was the target of so much bile from the other HGs, especially once she was gone, that her own flaws were overlooked by many out here.

Judd

HOH: 1

POV: 1

MVP: 0

Nominated: 2

Survived Eviction: 0

Judd was the sleeper star of the season. Early on most fans couldn't understand a word he was saying and barely noticed he was there. He was one of the few guys not in the Moving Company, and would have been an early victim if not for the destruction of the MC, which he played a key role in. From the beginning he was funny and fun, without necessarily trying too hard. But he was so far from being a great communicator that many in the house started to distrust him, and it all came to a head with Amanda becoming convinced he was MVP. America was loving Judd and his bear shirt, and we were as blindsided as he was when he went out in that first double-eviction. The most entertaining HG was gone, but the hope of his return held us for the next 2 weeks. If Judd hadn't won that return comp, I'm really not sure what would have happened to this season. In the end, Judd just made a deal with the wrong people. He was right to go along with getting Aaryn out, and he needed to go after Amanda, but by teaming up with the floaters after that instead of making a deal with McCrae and Elissa, he sealed his fate. And hurt his likability factor. Once he was with the Exterminators we started to hear a few nasty comments from him--nothing as bad as the rest of them, but still, it wasn't the funny we'd always gotten from him before. He was also always going to be the first out of the alliance, because they'd always be worried he couldn't be beaten in the end.

McCrae

HOH: 2

POV: 2

MVP: 0

Nominated: 4

Survived Eviction: 0

McCrae started out strong, handling the first HOH better than most. He was a livefeeder, so there was hope that he'd do us right. But then he fell in with Amanda--fell into bed, that is--and destroyed his game. His comp play remained decent, but his social game sucked. He rarely got out of bed, and when he did, he still wasn't really playing the game. He entertained a little, but not for the right reasons, leaving us with things like tracking how many days it had been since he'd showered. Once Amanda was gone his game perked up a little, but it was really too late. He's one of the few from this season I wouldn't mind seeing get a chance to come back, but only if he can stay out of a showmance. Like Rachel without Brendon, I think it would be great to see McCrae play without Amanda.

Spencer

HOH: 0

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 1

Survived Eviction: 0

I wasn't a big fan of Spencer from the beginning. There was just something about him that I found irritating. And then when he joined up with the MC I really wasn't a fan. I was glad to see the MC meet its demise and I hoped that Spencer would be out early because of it. But it quickly became apparent that he was going to be overlooked in favor of bigger targets. He was the consummate floater and perpetual pawn. That's certainly a valid strategy, but he didn't have the charm to pull it off. He was always playing for second place, and I think he's surprised as anyone that he didn't get it. In a season full of nasties, he was one of the nastiness. He was perv'ing on the girls and his comments were beyond offensive. He ruined butterscotch for me, and his kiddie porn "joke" will live on in infamy. I'm quite sure he was joking, but who even thinks of something like that?

GinaMarie

HOH: 2 + Final HOH, Part 1

POV: 0

MVP: 0

Nominated: 3

Survived Eviction: 3

There is so much to say about GinaMarie. At the beginning, I sort of wrote her off as the dumb "character" girl, and figured she'd be lucky to last past week three. But then she got overshadowed by Aaryn, Kaitlin and Jeremy and slipped into the floater role. No one was really taking her showmance with Nick all that seriously because half of them in the house, and all of us out here had heard him talking about how it was all MC side-alliance strategy. But she, of course, didn't know that, and was truly devastated when he left. Even then I expected her to get over it within a few days, if not hours, but she managed to hold on for the entire season. It provided entertainment, but at the same time, we couldn't help but worry just a little bit for her actual emotional well-being. Not to mention Nick's personal safety. GM's gameplay was equally interesting. She played a fairly loyal game. She wasn't in good with everyone, but she was true to those she made promises to. For the most part, anyway; Elissa being the notable exception. No one thought GM would win a competition, but she proved to be a reasonably good competitor, especially when it came to what passes for endurance these days. We can't talk about GM without mentioning some of the truly horrible and offensive things she said. She was consistently the worst; you just never knew when something absolutely shocking would come out of her mouth. She didn't get the press that Aaryn did, and she's also not going to get the help rehabilitating her image. But the thing about GM's racism was that it seemed to come from a place of pure ignorance, not malice. There was something almost childlike about so much of what GM said and did that it was hard to hate her, and instead I just ended up feeling sorry for her.

Andy

HOH: 2 + Final HOH, Parts 2&3

POV: 2

MVP: 0

Nominated: 1

Survived Eviction: 1

I sort of went back and forth all season on Andy. At first I liked him a lot. The he dove deep into floater territory, which is a strategy I don't particularly enjoy. I always say it's a perfectly valid strategy, it's just not a lot of fun to watch. And Andy was the epitome of the type of floater that I really dislike. He was in good with everyone, and was particularly attached to whomever held the power at the moment. To top it all off he was a bit of a rat, reporting back to one side what was going on with the other side. Again, not my cup of tea. And finally, Andy was a big participant in the nasty talk. He wasn't an offender in the racism race, but he said some really disgusting things about a lot of the women, Elissa in particular. Andy tried to minimize the drama, but all his flip-flopping actually gave us quite a bit of drama and entertainment. And outside the house, the #AndyHoldingThings meme gave us plenty of amusement. Though I didn't like him or his gameplay personally, I can't argue that he earned his win. He had the perfect strategy for the season. Other years he might have been done in early, but with this bunch, the floater was king.
